Otokar celebrates production milestones for Navigo and Atlas ranges

Ceremony at Otokar plant in Sakarya, Turkey

Turkey – In September, Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AŞ (“Otokar”) of Sakarya, Turkey announced two production milestones: the 30,000th bus in its ‘Navigo’ line; and the 5,000th truck in its ‘Atlas’ range.

The Turkish manufacturer, which is a subsidiary of the Koç industrial conglomerate, held a special ceremony at its plant in Sakarya to commemorate the milestones. Known as the ‘Sultan’ in Otokar’s home market, the Navigo is a midibus range measuring between 7.2 and 9.2 metres in length. Launched in 2002, Navigo models operate today in more than forty countries, primarily in Europe.
