Denso starts inverter production in Fukushima

Japan– Components giant, Denso Corporation* of Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan announced it has started inverter production at its factory at DENSO Fukushima Co., Ltd. This move is part of the company's strategy to enhance its electrification capabilities and meet the growing demand for automotive inverters, which are essential for electrified vehicles. Inverters help manage power conversion between the battery and electric motor in electric vehicles. By expanding production to Fukushima, Denso aims to strengthen its manufacturing network in Japan and improve competitiveness in the global electrification market. The company also produces inverters at its Hirose and Anjo plants in Japan and now manufactures them at eight global locations​ including Hungary, China and the U.S. This enables the company to rapidly meet inverter demand worldwide.

*Denso Fukushima is a DENSO Group company that manufactures automotive thermal products, such as air conditioners and engine cooling modules (ECMs), and fuel system components for gasoline engines.
