IAA Transportation 2024: Kögel launches next-generation refrigerated trailer at the IAA

Germany - Kögel Trailer GmbH of Bessenbach, Germany, launched its next-generation refrigerated trailer, the Kögel COOL LITESHELL, at last month's 2024 IAA Transportation event in Hanover. Due to the company’s advanced panel technology, this product boasts a significant weight reduction of 700 kilograms. This lighter design improves fuel efficiency, reduces CO2 emissions, and enhances durability with increased impact resistance. The trailer also integrates the AxlePower system, developed in partnership with BPW and Thermo King, which converts braking energy into power for the refrigeration unit, further boosting sustainability.
Additionally, Kögel unveiled the Strong & Go Advanced side tarpaulin, which offers improved load security without traditional metal reinforcements, reducing vehicle weight and increasing payload capacity. Another highlight was the Dynamics Softcover side panels, which improve aerodynamics and safety while cutting fuel consumption.
