Hendrickson introduces tailored heavy-duty rear air suspension system

PRIMAAX EX

Germany / USA – At the 2024 IAA Transportation event in Hanover Germany last month, components manufacturer Hendrickson International of Woodridge, Illinois announced a new variant of its heavy-duty rear air suspension system, the PRIMAAX EX. Developed alongside International Trucks*, the PRIMAAX EX is available in configurations from 23,000 (10.2 tonnes) to 78,000 pounds (34.8 tonnes). The new options include a 12-inch (30cm) ride height and a 52,000-pound (23.2 tonnes) capacity with air disc brake clearance, specifically designed for International’s HV truck model. This variant has been tailored for demanding heavy-duty applications like logging, construction and heavy-haul operations. The design improves stability, weight distribution and control helping comply with North American regulations.

The company also announced that it has recently achieved sales of one million of its tyre pressure monitoring system (the TIREMAAX). This automatic tyre pressure control system is designed to monitor and maintain optimal tyre pressure across multiple axles on commercial vehicles; this improves tyre life, enhances fuel efficiency, and reduces maintenance costs by automatically inflating or deflating tyres to the correct pressure. The system offers real-time pressure monitoring and maintenance without driver intervention.
