UK – Birmingham-based manufacturer of cooling and HVAC products, Grayson Thermal Systems has hired Brendan Waldron as its new Engineering Director, effective as of September 2024. His appointment is part of Grayson's efforts to strengthen its technical and engineering leadership as the company focuses on developing more sustainable thermal management systems for vehicles. In his new role, Waldron will oversee Grayson’s engineering capabilities with a focus on standardisation, innovation and process optimisation. Waldron brings extensive experience in technical and engineering roles within the automotive sector, which aligns with Grayson's goal of expanding its innovative solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The company also recently expanded its manufacturing facility in Tyseley, Birmingham, with three new production lines, including two heat pump lines and a battery thermal management system line. Furthermore, the company plans to modernise its fabrication facility to boost efficiency and increase output. The company anticipates a rise in sales with the UK ban on diesel and petrol vehicles. The investment will allow Grayson to expand its manufacturing capacity to meet this rising demand.
