Canoo establishes UK subsidiary - Canoo Technologies UK

UK / USA – American light-duty EV manufacturer, Canoo Inc based in Justin, Texas, announced that it has established a new UK subsidiary (Canoo Technologies UK Ltd) based in the Bicester Motion business park in north Oxfordshire. This site will serve as Canoo's operations, customer, and activation centre for the UK and Europe. Whilst the company has not yet shipped vehicles to Europe, Canoo is preparing for a global expansion by shipping electric vans to the UK in 2025. According to founder and CEO Tony Aquila, the company has recently received UK Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) certificates for its Right-Hand Drive (RHD) electric commercial delivery vans. The next step of the plan is to begin customer trials of the LDV190 and LDV130 electric vans with local fleet operators. Pilot testing is scheduled to begin between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025 before a full UK launch in Q4 2025.
