British bus and coach market reports 36.1% growth in registrations in Q3 2024

UK – The British bus and coach market continued its trend of growth in the third quarter of 2024, reporting a 36.1% increase in registrations to 2,367 compared to the same period of the year before, according to statistics published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Growth across all three segments was fairly high. In minibuses (<6t), registrations increased by 38.4% to 1,486. Single-deck bus registrations grew by 36.4% to 461, while double deckers increased by 28.4% to 420 units. The British bus and coach market has now enjoyed six consecutive quarters of growth, after registrations dropped to historic lows during the COVID-19 pandemic.
