Nova Bus sells Plattsburgh facility to Micro Bird

Canada / USANova Bus Inc, a bus manufacturer and subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, Canada, has sold its American assembly plant to Micro Bird Inc of Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, a cutaway van chassis joint venture between Blue Bird and Girardin Minibus.

The agreement between the two companies concerns the facility in Plattsburgh, New York where Nova Bus built vehicles for the U.S. market. The sale includes the plant building, adjoining land, and selected manufacturing equipment. As part of the agreement, Nova Bus will be allowed to continue using parts of the building until the second quarter of 2025 in order to fulfil outstanding orders.
