Mullen ramping up battery facility for start of production in mid-2025

USA – Mullen Automotive Inc, a commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Brea, California, has provided an update on its battery production activities, announcing three open lines and two more to come.
The company says its facility in Fullerton, California is already set up to produce a “high volume” of batteries with “standard” chemistry (likely LFP) on one line and low volumes of battery packs for research and development purposes on two other lines. One of these is set up to produce standard chemistry batteries and the other is dedicated to solid-state polymers. Mullen aims to open another high-volume line for standard batteries this month and a fully automated line for wire bonding by February of next year, which it says will be used for “multiple chemistries”.
