DICV extends application range of BharatBenz trucks with new BharatBenz-badged Cummins' engine

New Bharat Benz heavy duty rigid trucks

India – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has introduced a new range of BharatBenz heavy-duty rigid trucks to the Indian market. Equipped with the all-new BharatBenz 6D26 BSVI OBD-II 6.7-litre diesel engine, these trucks are designed for new payload applications, such as bitumen, bulker, and oil tankers, alongside a variety of existing payload options

The new engine, derived from the Cummins ISBE 6.7-liter engine, is a result of the global partnership between Cummins Inc and Daimler Truck AG, which was signed in 2021 to develop medium-duty engines for medium-duty vehicles made by Daimler Trucks and Buses to meet Euro VI and beyond stringent emission standards.
