Daimler India inaugurates mechatronics laboratory at Oragadam

DICV inaugurates new Mechatronics Lab
India – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has inaugurated a mechatronics laboratory at its manufacturing and production facility in Oragadam, Chennai.
This new mechatronics laboratory is designed to increase the efficiency of software verification and validation and is expected to cut costs by some 70-80% compared with traditional methods. Daimler says use of agile methodologies and a closed-loop feedback system in the laboratory ensures quick identification and resolution of software bugs, reducing testing and verification times from weeks to days.
