Eberspächer debuts new CV water coolant heater

Eberspacher High Voltage Electrical Water Heater
Germany – Eberspächer Group, a manufacturer of exhaust and thermal management products based in Esslingen am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg, debuted a new high-voltage water coolant heater specifically for electric and hydrogen buses (as well as hybrid drive commercial vehicles) to ensure effective and rapid heating. Designed to warm the passenger compartment and driver's cab, the heater can also be used to temperature condition the vehicle battery. Preheating can used to extend the vehicle range and speed up the charging process in winter conditions.
The ‘Eberspacher high-voltage water coolant’ has a voltage range of 500 to 820 volts DC for large electric vehicles and delivers a variable output of up to 10 kW. A maximum configuration of up to three heaters can extend the maximum output to 30kW. Furthermore, connection to a fuel-operated heater is also possible.
