Hexagon Agility expands aftermarket business with latest acquisition

Hexagon Agility fleet care business

USA –  Hexagon Agility LLC, a producer of natural gas fuel systems for trucks based in Costa Mesa, California, has acquired fellow California-based mobile fleet maintenance company, Specialty Fleet Services for an undisclosed fee. Speciality Fleet Services will be incorporated into Hexagon Agility’s existing fleet mobility business, to better meet the aftermarket needs of the growing number of natural gas-powered vehicles in North America. This acquisition triples Hexagon Agility's mobile service capabilities and extends its service network across the United States and Canada. Services such as field service, technical training, and parts distribution will help reduce vehicle downtime and therefore TCO for Hexagon Agility’s clients.

For Hexagon Agility, the deal aligns with its goal of expanding service offerings in response to the rising demand for natural gas in the heavy-duty sector. This year alone, the company says it has received orders totalling tens of millions for renewable natural gas (RNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel storage systems to be used in trucks using the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine. Major OEMs such as Kenworth and Peterbilt started producing trucks equipped with the X15N earlier this year.
