Geely launches electric pickup truck in Thailand

The Riddara electric pickup truck

Thailand / China - Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, headquartered in Hangzhou in China’s Zhejiang province, launched its latest battery-powered Riddara RD6 pickup truck in Thailand in October, as the company looks to establish a significant presence in the country’s all-important pickup truck market.

The Riddara RD6, built on Geely’s Multiplex Attached Platform (MAP), was developed by Riddara New Energy Automobile Company Ltd - a division of Geely’s Radar Auto ‘lifestyle’ brand – with the aim of combining the capabilities of a pickup truck with the performance characteristics of a battery electric vehicle (BEV). The truck is designed to meet the needs of modern families as well as independent business owners.
