KGMC launches production of 9-metre electric city bus

KGMC’s new 090 city bus

South Korea - Commercial vehicle manufacturer, KGM Commercial Company Ltd (KGMC), headquartered in South Korea’s Gyeongsangnam-do province, officially launched a new 9-metre battery-powered public transport bus in November. KGMC was previously known as Edison Motors Company Ltd before it was acquired by Seoul-based KG Mobility Corporation last year.

The new 9-metre bus expands KGMC’s existing fleet of buses, which mainly comprises 11-metre buses powered by batteries, diesel or CNG. The company also makes a range of light trucks. The company’s electric buses come with 320 kW and 240 kW motors and lithium nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) batteries. The light truck is powered by a 130 kW motor.
