Tero Toivanen, joined Finn Lamex in 2008 as its production manager, and became managing director in 2017.

Finland – After being procured by Beijer Tech in 2023, bus and coach premium quality windscreen specialist manufacturer, Finn Lamex Safety Glass Oy* (FinnLamex) of Laitila, Finland, has begun investing capital in its operations to double its manufacturing capacity by the end of 2027, according to Tero Toivanen, Managing Director of Finn Lamex in an interview with Truck & Bus Builder.

A five year plan presented to the new owners started with investment in 2024, as well as in 2025 and 2026, is expected to see the current capacity of some 35,000 premium quality glass units a year, to become 70,000 units in 2027. Investment started this year by procuring a new ScreenMax bending furnace from Glaston Oyj. The machine, which was commissioned in September, allows for the large bus and coach windscreens to be shaped and bent to the customers’ needs. The ScreenMax bending furnace will be in full operation in 2025.
