MCI receives order for 100 coaches for Houston, Texas

USAMotor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of the NFI Group based in Des Plaines, Illinois, has announced a contract for up to 100 commuter coaches which will be deployed in the city of Houston in Texas.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, which is responsible for public transportation in Houston and the surrounding county, placed a firm order for fifty coaches and exercised a contract option for fifty more. Every vehicle will be a high-floor ‘D45 CRT’ model, a 45-foot coach with wheelchair lift.
