ZEVx becomes Repower Electric Corp in management buyout

USA – Former retrofit and mobile charging firm ZEVx Inc of Gilbert, Arizona has been relaunched as Repower Electric Corp, which purchased the company’s assets during an auction held in August 2024.

Repower said in a press release dated 20 December 2024 that it acquired the entire intellectual property and patent portfolio from ‘Zevx Liquidators LLC’, a special-purpose entity which was formed to liquidate ZEVx’s assets and pay back creditors as an alternative to Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Repower is now looking to restart the ZEVx electrification business which focused on Class 3-4 commercial vehicles based on the Ford ‘E-350’ and ‘E-450’ platforms.
