Torc Robotics to open self-driving truck hub in Texas

Site of planned Torc autonomous truck hub in Alliance, Texas

USATorc Robotics Inc, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck North America based in Blacksburg, Virginia, has acquired a lease on a facility in Texas where it will set up an autonomous truck hub for customer pilots and, ultimately, commercial operations.

The company has signed a leasing agreement with Hillwood, the company which manages the real estate owned by Henry Ross Perot Jr. He is the owner and developer of a planned town called ‘Alliance’, situated in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. The site is situated near Interstate 35, a major highway and freight route between Laredo, Texas (on the Mexican border) and Duluth, Minnesota in the north.
