McNeilus debuts front-loading electric refuse truck at CES 2025

The Volterra ZFL by McNeilus

USA – At the Consumer Electronics Show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center between 7-11 January, McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc of Dodge Center, Minnesota debuted a front-loading variation of its line of battery electric waste collection trucks, dubbed ‘Volterra ZFL’.

The Volterra ZFL, like its sister product, the ZSL, is a fully-integrated waste collection truck, built from the ground up as an electric vehicle. Installed behind the cab is a ‘Meridian’ front-loading body from McNeilus. The cab has a step-in height of fifteen inches and provides ample space and visibility, according to the manufacturer. The vehicle comes equipped as standard with a 360-degree camera and blind-spot and lane departure warning systems.
