Germany / China - Headquartered in Hangzhou, Farizon Auto, a commercial vehicle manufacturer established by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, has announced the first European orders for its electric trucks with European logistics giant the Duvenbeck Group, based in Hannover Germany. The logistics giant has ordered 50 units of Farizon’s heavy-duty* battery electric Homtruck**, with the potential of larger orders in the future. This marks Farizon’s entry into Europe, as it plans to bring its SV Electric van to the UK and Europe later this year.
The company has launched several new trucks in China over the past few years having sold 150,000 new-energy commercial vehicles to date, including light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Headquartered in Hangzhou, the company has four production plants in the country producing an ever-expanding range of commercial vehicles fitted with low and zero-emission powertrains. The company launched its first battery-powered light commercial vehicle range in 2016, followed by an electric city bus, and then the Homtruck, a heavy-duty semi-truck with a variety of powertrain options. Last year, Farizon launched two new Xingxiang light commercial vehicle models, the F1E small truck and the V6E-Plus van - both based on the company’s GXA-M platform, for sales both domestically and overseas.
