Leoni opens a new wiring factory in Morocco

Morocco / Germany – First announced in 2023, cable and harnessing manufacturer, Leoni AG of Nuremberg, Germany, has opened a new factory in the Industrial Acceleration Zone of Agadir, Morocco. The facility focuses on manufacturing wiring systems tailored for commercial vehicles in order to meet the growing demand in that segment of the business. Leoni selected Agadir due to its strategic proximity to various commercial vehicle manufacturers, the availability of skilled labour and the potential for future expansion.

The facility is still being ramped up and is expected to provide 3,000 jobs in administration, engineering and production.
