Frasle Mobility completes acquisition of KUO Refacciones

Mexico / Brazil – Vehicle parts and systems supplier, Frasle Mobility (Fras-le)of Caxias do Sul, RS, Brazil has completed its largest-ever acquisition, purchasing the spare parts division of Mexican conglomerate Grupo KUO for 2.2 million pesos (USD360m). The acquisition, finalized in early January, will see KUO Refacciones renamed as Dacomsa. The deal boosts Frasle Mobility’s dominance in Latin America’s key automotive replacement markets, particularly Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

The transaction, which is mainly components for car and light commercial vehicles, includes the manufacturing operations of two prominent engine parts brands of Moresa and TF Victor, which specialize in pistons and engine gaskets. These brands operate out of two production facilities in Guanajuato, Mexico. Additionally, the acquisition encompasses Fritec, a leader in brake pads and shoes, with plants in Mexico City. The deal also brings other influential brands into Frasle’s portfolio, enhancing its reach and influence in Mexico’s aftermarket sector.
