Voith considers sale of commercial vehicle business

Germany – J. M. Voith SE & Co KG, a diversified industrial group based in Heidenheim an der Brenz, Baden-Württemberg, has announced that it is reviewing the future of its commercial vehicle business, with options such as a strategic partnership or sale under consideration.
On 17 February, the German group stated that, due to the “high level of investment required” to expand its EV portfolio, it is considering whether the commercial vehicle business would perform better in “a different environment”. As such, Voith is exploring potential options, including a “strategic partnership” or a “sale”, and assessing whether one of these would be better than keeping the business “under the umbrella of the Voith Turbo Group Division”.
