EM-H Mechatronic Hydrogen Pressure Regulator
Italy / Germany – Headquartered in Cavriago, Italian designer, producer and distributor of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Hydrogen components, the Landi Renzo Group* (Landi Renzo S.p.A.), has partnered with multi-national engineering and technology company, Robert Bosch GmbH, based in Stuttgart, Germany, to develop and bring to market its EM-H mechatronic regulator for hydrogen-powered applications.
The system is designed to manage and calibrate hydrogen delivery pressure with high accuracy and efficiency for use in hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (ICEs), particularly in commercial vehicles. According to statement by the Landi Renzo company: “Its functionality is governed by two phases, an initial mechanical stage that reduces pressure from high to medium, followed by an electronic stage that further lowers the pressure to the desired level.” There has been no date given as to when the product is expected to come to market.
