Nooteboom launches third generation of mega windmill trailers

Netherlands – Nooteboom BV of Wijchen, Netherlands has launched a new trailer for transporting wind-turbine tower segments which is more versatile than its predecessor, accommodating a wider range of sizes.
The ‘MWT-XXL’ is an unconventional trailer designed to carry tower segments weighing up to 100 tonnes to the wind turbine installation site without requiring a crane for loading and unloading. The tower segment is clamped between the two sections of a hydraulically height-adjustable A-frame, which holds the cargo in place while maintaining an overall vehicle height below the maximum four metres.
