KGM's Musso electric pickup truck

South KoreaKG Mobility Corporation (KGM), headquartered in Pyeongtaek – just south of the South Korean capital Seoul, announced that it plans to launch a battery-powered pickup truck, the Musso EV, in the first quarter of 2025. The company’s aim is to become the first automaker to produce a battery-powered pickup truck in the country.

KGM was previously known as Ssangyong Motor, before it was acquired by local steel and chemicals firm KG Group in 2022. The company sold just over 109,000 vehicles last year, down 6% from 116,100 units in 2023.
