Cummins B7.2 diesel engine

USA – At Work Truck Week, held between 4-7 March in Indianapolis, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana launched a new model in its long-running ‘B’ series of light- and medium-duty engines, suitable for a wider range of applications and duty cycles than before.

The ‘B7.2’ diesel engine follows the ‘B6.7’ and features an expanded displacement volume of 7.2 litres. Its performance rating ranges between 240 to 340 horsepower and 650 to 1,000 lb-ft of torque, creating greater “flexibility” for applications as varied as passenger transport, goods delivery, utilities, waste collection, and towing.
