FAW Jiefang looks to strengthen sales in Australia

FAW Jiefang signs deals with Australian dealers

Australia / China - FAW Jiefang Group Company Ltd, the commercial vehicle unit of Chinese state-owned automaker FAW Group, signed an agreement with several unnamed Australian dealers in early March with a view to strengthening its sales and aftermarket operations in that country.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed at FAW Jiefang’s headquarters in Changchun City, is aligned with the Chinese truck-maker’s "SPRINT2030" globalization strategy unveiled in December 2024 – aimed at strengthening the company’s presence in global markets. This includes increasing global sales from a projected 330,000 commercial vehicles in 2025 to 500,000 units by 2030, with overseas sales rising from 80,000 units to 180,000 in the same period.
