International to fit illuminated stop signs as standard on CE Series school buses

Electric CE Series school bus with illuminated stop signs

USAInternational Motors LLC, a subsidiary of Traton based in Lisle, Illinois, has announced that its Type C school buses will be fitted with illuminated stop signs as standard to increase their visibility to other road users.

All new battery electric ‘CE Series’ school buses will now come with two features: “Illuminated School Bus Signs” and “Fully Illuminated Stop Arms”, referring to the school bus sign above the windscreen and the extendable arm on the left-hand side, respectively. The diesel version of the CE Series will be available as standard with illuminated signs from August 2025.
