S-eWay Fuel Cell heavy-duty trucks

Germany / Italy – Marking a major step in hydrogen-powered transport, Iveco Group NV has delivered the first two S-eWay Fuel Cell heavy-duty trucks to BMW’s Leipzig plant. First unveiled at the 2024 IAA event, these deliveries are part of the H2Haul project*, which aims to showcase the feasibility of hydrogen trucks for long-haul transport.

The S-eWay Fuel Cell boasts a range of up to 800 km, rapid refuelling in under 20 minutes, and a 70 kg hydrogen capacity at 700-bar pressure. Designed for zero-emission long-haul operations, the trucks will transport parts between Nuremberg and Leipzig, supported by newly established hydrogen refuelling stations in Leipzig and Hormersdorf, operated by TEAL.
