Brazilian commercial vehicle exports grow in Q1

Brazil – Exports by Brazilian commercial vehicle manufacturers grew by 75.8%, according to figures released by the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAVEA) based in Sao Paulo.

A total of 7,375 trucks and buses were exported compared with 4,196 in the same period last year, mainly to Latin American countries. The medium-duty segment grew the most (249.2%), with 206 units, compared to 59 in the previous period. The light-duty segment increased by 166.6%, with 789 units, compared to 296 from January to March 2024. The heavy-duty segment increased by 82.4%, with 3,344 vehicles (1,833), and the medium-duty segment increased by 44.3%, with 1,538 units (1,066).
