Otokar launches fourth-gen Atlas trucks with GSR II compliance

Turkey – Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AŞ (“Otokar”) of Sakarya, Turkey has launched the fourth generation of its ‘Atlas’ line of medium-duty trucks, now fitted with advanced driver assistance and safety features to ensure compliance with the EU’s new general safety regulation.1
Available as a 9-tonne, 11-tonne, or 15-tonne truck, the new Atlas range is fitted with driver and passenger airbags, which Otokar claims is a first for its segment in the Turkish market. Moreover, the fourth-generation Atlas will come as standard with the following ADAS: blind spot information system, tyre pressure monitoring, moving off warning system, parking sensors, intelligent speed assistance, alcohol interlock system readiness, and driver drowsiness and attention warning.
