All-new Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup truck

Japan / China - Nissan Motor Corporation, headquartered in Yokohama in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture, unveiled its all-new Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid (PHEV) pickup truck at the Auto Shanghai 2025 show in April, as the automaker’s looks to increase its exposure to the country’s fast growing new energy vehicle (NEV) market. Nissan confirmed that the Frontier Pro is one of nine new energy vehicle (NEV) models it plans to launch in China by mid-2027, including the newly-launched Dongfeng Nissan N7 battery-powered sedan.

The Frontier Pro is Nissan’s first-ever PHEV model and is also its first electrified pickup truck. It is scheduled to go on sale in China later this year and will also be exported to other markets in Asia and elsewhere from next year.
