British bus and coach market in 2025 experienced best Q1 in 17 years

UK – Britain’s bus and coach market experienced its best first quarter in seventeen years, registering a total of 2,532 vehicles between January and March, according to statistics published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Bus, coach, and minibus registrations grew by 49.8% year-on-year, while sales of zero emission vehicles more than doubled, making up more than a quarter of the market. Minibus registrations grew by 52.6% to 1,299 units, while double-deck bus and coach registrations surged by 77.1% to 542. Single-deck bus and coach registrations also increased year-on-year, growing by 29.6% to 691 units.
