Broshuis invests in new welding equipment

New welding robot

Netherlands - Barneveld-based specialist heavy-haulage trailer manufacturer, Broshuis BV, has procured and integrated a new “welding robot” into its production facility in Barneveld. The investment aims to boost efficiency and product quality. The company collaborated with Valk Welding to implement the Automatic Robot Programming (ARP) technology. This innovation streamlines the programming of welding robots, stated Broshuis, allowing it to handle a diverse range of products more efficiently.

John Okken, Improvement Engineer at Broshuis, highlighted the benefits: "The smaller the quantities, the more likely we weld by hand, but now we are trying to push that limit. With ARP, tasks such as weld seam detection are automated, significantly reducing programming time and enabling the company to expand its robotic welding capabilities.”
