ONE engages Turkish contract manufacturer to produce battery cells

USA / Turkey – Our Next Energy Inc of Novi, Michigan, USA has announced a partnership with Istanbul-based engineering firm Kontrolmatik Technologies, which will begin producing lithium iron phosphate cells on ONE’s behalf at a gigafactory in Ankara, Turkey later this year.
Through a subsidiary company, Pomega Energy Storage Technologies, Kontrolmatik operates Turkey’s only private-sector gigafactory for the production of LFP cells, with a capacity of 3 GWh per year. Kontrolmatik has agreed to deliver 2 GWh of cells in 2026 and 5 GWh in 2027 to ONE, which will assemble them in battery modules and packs in Michigan.
