EKA Mobility, KPIT, and BPCL deploy Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus at Cochin Airport

India - EKA Mobility, the brand name of electric vehicle builder, Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd of Pune (a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Ltd) is collaborating with KPIT Technologies Ltd1 of Pune and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) of Mumbai to deploy Kerala’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered bus at Cochin International Airport (CIAL) in Kochi.

The initiative marks a significant milestone in India’s clean mobility journey and represents the first-of-its-kind deployment of a hydrogen fuel cell bus in the state of Kerala. The 9-metre, 30+ passenger bus is to operate under a three-year Proof of Concept (PoC) programme aimed at demonstrating the viability of hydrogen mobility in commercial transportation.
