Germany – As part of its sustainability strategy, Hübner GmbH & Co. KG (Hübner Group) of Kassel, Germany, has installed 1,400 solar panels covering the 6,100-square-metre roof at its Kassel-Waldau facility in Germany. The solar photovoltaic system is calculated to produce 338 megawatt-hours of renewable electricity annually. This renewable energy primarily powers the plant's operations, reducing the company's reliance on external energy sources and thereby decreasing its carbon footprint.

The Kassel-Waldau site is responsible for producing gangway systems for buses and trains, elastomer-based components, and advanced photonics technologies.
