Voith launches updated VEDS with new inverter system

Germany – J M Voith SE & Co KG of Heidenheim an der Brenz, Baden-Württemberg has launched an updated version of its central drive system for commercial electric vehicles, featuring a new inverter which integrates several electronic and management functions in a single module.
Dubbed ‘VEDS 1.5’, the new version of the Voith Electrical Drive System for buses and coaches will come with Voith’s ‘Drive Inverter System’ with integrated drive management unit. The inverter module simplifies the design of the vehicle electronics, integrating easily with the DC/DC converter, charging control unit, power distribution box, and other components.
