Hino’s global production drops 19% in H1

Hino's production sharply lower
Hino Motors Ltd, Toyota Motor’s truck-making subsidiary headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, reported a 19% drop in global vehicle production to 58,943 units in the first six months of 2025, down from 72,750 units in the same period of last year. Production in Japan plunged by 23% to 44,285 units, while overseas production declined by less than 2% to 14,658 units. Exports from Japan fell by almost 19% to 20,335 units.
Global sales fell by over 5% to 56,182 units in the first half of 2025, down from 59,273 units a year earlier, with sales in Japan dropping by 10% to 18,281 units, while overseas sales declined by 3% to 37,901 units.
