KleanDrive and Alexander Dennis partner to accelerate electric bus repowering

UK – UK electric repower specialist, KleanDrive Ltd of Maldon, UK, has partnered with Scottish bus and coach manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd (subsidiary of the NFI Group) of Larbert, to retrofit ADL’s existing diesel buses with KleanDrive’s modular, plug-and-play electric drivetrain platform.
Speaking with Joe Tighe, founder of KleanDrive, the deal marks the company’s first major partnership with a bus OEM and represents a significant scaling of its retrofit technology. Under the agreement, ADL will support KleanDrive’s retrofit initiatives by providing access to vehicle data and maintenance expertise while integrating KleanDrive’s electric powertrains into their service offering.
