Mack launches production of new Class 8 Pioneer truck

Production of the Mack Pioneer at the Lehigh Valley Operations

USAMack Trucks Inc, a subsidiary of Volvo based in Greensboro, North Carolina, launched production of its new Class 8 ‘Pioneer’ truck on 20 August at the Lehigh Valley Operations in Macungie, Pennsylvania.

The Pioneer range is being produced alongside the full range of Class 8 trucks offered by Mack, including the ‘Anthem’, ‘Granite’, ‘Pinnacle’, ‘LR’, ‘TerraPro’, and ‘R Series’. The company says it has developed new assembly procedures for the Pioneer’s distinctive features, including its grille, headlamp defrost system, and advanced digital systems, including the ‘MackProtect’ ADAS suite.
