Remaining European assets of Northvolt to be acquired by Silicon Valley firm

Sweden / USA – The remaining European assets of Northvolt AB, the erstwhile manufacturer of battery cells based in Stockholm, Sweden, will be acquired by Lyten Inc, a battery firm based in San Jose, California, USA, which signed a binding agreement in August.
For an undisclosed sum, Lyten will acquire three sites from the bankrupt Northvolt concern: ‘Northvolt Ett’ in Skellefteå, ‘Northvolt Labs’ in Västeras (both in Sweden), and ‘Northvolt Drei’ in Germany. In addition, Lyten will purchase all remaining Northvolt intellectual property.
