USA / EuropeStoneridge Inc of Novi, Michigan has launched a new generation of its ‘MirrorEye’ camera system for buses, coaches, and rigid trucks, with new features that ensure compliance with the European Union’s latest regulations.

The American company launched ‘MirrorEye Multi-Purpose II’ at the end of July as a successor to its ‘MirrorEye Camera Monitoring System’. The new generation will support the vehicle’s safety functions, namely its blind spot and moving-off information systems, which are required in commercial vehicles subject to the EU General Safety Regulation. Warnings generated by these systems will appear on the interior 12.3-inch/15-inch displays which replace conventional sideview mirrors.
