France – The French engineering and testing services company, UTAC Group, has announced a “major expansion” of its facilities, particularly its electric vehicle testing capabilities.

The site that has received the most upgrades over the past few years is the UTAC “Centennial Building” in Livonia, Michigan, USA, which is now transformed into a “state-of-the-art automotive electrification testing facility.” The group has installed three new test cells for electric motors up to 25,000 rpm and 800 Nm of torque. It has also upgraded the facility’s simulation capabilities, allowing it to test motors in conditions between minus 40 and plus 85 degrees Celsius.
