DAF launches ultra-low chassis for car transport applications

DAF new chassis

Netherlands - Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV, has introduced a purpose-built car transporter chassis. Manufactured at its Eindhoven facility, the new chassis offers an ultra-low ride height of just 83 cm, enabling operators to comply with strict European vehicle height limits while transporting multiple cars efficiently.

The new platform is available across the New Generation XD, XF, XG and XG+ ranges, offering operators a broad choice of cab and axle configurations. Customers can specify low or slanted cab roofs to further increase loading flexibility, while retaining the latest comfort, safety, and efficiency features, including PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines, Predictive Cruise Control, and DAF’s Digital Vision System.
