Fuso signs electric bus partnership with Hon Hai

Hon Hai’s Model T full-size electric city bus in operation since 2021

Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), headquartered in Kawasaki City, in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Taiwan’s electronics giant, Hon Hai Technology Group to explore strategic collaboration in the zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) segment. The two companies aim to accelerate their expansion in the global “clean mobility” sector.

MFTBC, through its Mitsubishi Fuso Bus Manufacturing Company (MFBMC) subsidiary, has agreed to explore opportunities to collaborate with Hon Hai’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) subsidiary, Foxtron Vehicle Technologies Company, in the development, production, supply chain management, and sales of battery-powered buses based on the Taiwanese company’s Model T and Model U platforms.
