OPmobility to supply Hess with batteries

France / Switzerland – OPmobility of Levallois, France has announced that it is supplying Swiss trolleybus manufacturer Carrosserie Hess AG (“Hess”) with battery packs as part of a long-term partnership between the two companies.
OPmobility says it will supply Hess with “several hundred” battery packs over the next few years. These will be installed in a new generation of 18- to 24-metre trolleybuses manufactured by Hess.1 According to OPmobility, the “modular” packs were developed for Hess customers, who can specify whether they would like greater capacity for increased range or more power for increased performance (for use on hilly routes).
