Michelin launches “trucker-specific” GPS

France – Tyre manufacturer Michelin Group of Clermont-Ferrand, France has launched a GPS service through its digital platform which it describes as “trucker-specific”, taking into account the specific needs and limits associated with truck driving.
The GPS service was launched in August on ‘Truckfly by Michelin’ and is available to drivers on a no-contract basis for €6.99 per month. The application uses the specifications of the truck (i.e., height, length, load, etc) to plan suitable routes, avoiding low bridges and restricted roads.
